The Fiber Arts Center Offering: “Basket Weaving for Beginners”

Have you always wanted to weave a basket but didn’t know how? This class will offer an opportunity to learn basic steps in basket weaving. This basket will teach many of the basic basket weaving skills found in most baskets. The reed weaving materials to make this basket will be provided. Students should bring to class the items in the basket making supply list. Limited quan es of supply list items will be available for use in the class.

Basket Making Supply List to Bring to Class

Wooden spring-type clothespins or metal clips
Scissors for cutting reed (not your good fabric scissors!)
Pencil
Awl or Ice pick or flat end screwdriver
Soft tape measure
Water spray bottle
Old hand towel
Dishpan or bucket (can share)
