Darlene Gumbs, MD, Joins UM Shore Medical Group - Primary Care

 

EASTON, Md. (September 2, 2025) – University of Maryland Shore Medical Group (UM SMG) – Primary Care has welcomed Darlene Gumbs, MD to its provider team in Easton. UM SMG is an affiliate medical practice of the University of Maryland Shore Regional Health (UM SRH), a member organization of the University of Maryland Medical System.

 

Dr. Gumbs earned her Doctor of Medicine from American University of the Caribbean in Cupecoy, Sint Maarten, completing an Internal Medicine residency at West Virginia University and a Clinical Education Fellowship at American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. She also earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Carolina University in Asheville, North Carolina and a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science from Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, Tennessee.
